Authorities: 2 Pit Bulls Fatally Injure Greyhound, Hurt 2 People - News Story - WFTV Orlando: "OAKLAND PARK, Fla. -- Authorities said two pit bulls attacked and fatally injured a greyhound and hurt its owner along with a man who tried to stop them. Spokeswoman for Broward Animal Care and Regulation Andrea Voss said the pit bulls may have escaped through a gap in a fence. Susanne Tenney, and her 11-year-old greyhound, Zydeco, were attacked. A sheriff's office report said Tenney suffered bites to her hands, face and other parts of the body as she lay across her dog to protect it. John Clark, who jumped in to stop a pit bull also suffered bites. He was taken to North Ridge Hospital. The dogs were taken to a nearby animal shelter and are to be euthanized after 10 days of quarantine. The owner, whose name has not been released, got four citations."

This is too bad. Pits are not bad dogs at heart, in fact, my Grey Atlas often plays with one from down the street. I just cannot understand the mentality that would take a good family dog and turn it into a viscous attack dog. The poor 11yr old greyhound probably had no idea what to do
